Joys as of late
Oh the milky way, has gone a little sour

I turned seventeen yesterday. The weather decided to celebrate with a massive downpour of snow. The day started of on a high note - a yoga session for our gym class. Had some difficulty pulling out of our street, ‘twas fun.

The yoga instructor really made me think.
Bob Marley - “Are you satisfied with the life you’re living?”

Afterwards, we went to school and did our band testing. Mom picked me up and we went for lunch at Alexander’s, where we also picked up my huge chocolate carrot cake, as per tradition. I napped in the afternoon, surfed the web looking at interesting pictures… numbered my pages in piano repertoire, practised, opened my presents at dinner. Mom made us a lovely supper. My favourite present was a Sony alarm clock/ipod dock — finally I can wake up to my favourite tunes… some legitimate motivation for getting out of bed at last! I’m actually looking forward to getting up and ready in the morning now! My parents will be happy with that.

Opening the ipod/alarm system has prompted me to listen to my old iPod (first generation Nano, folks)… I really like my seventh grade music tastes! Haha. The Cranberries, Feist, Sufjan Stevens, The Strokes, Spoon, The Decemberists, CSS, Belle and Sebastian, Sam Roberts… I should start listening to some of these folks again.

Today I wrote my physics final. I’m SO happy to be done with it. Although learning about space in our last unit was fairly interesting. Goodbye centripetal acceleration, projectile motion and unbalanced forces! You were nice while you lasted.

Don’t know if that’s entirely sarcastic or not.
